Hello World

Hello world,
Let's see where do I start? Every week goes by super fast and sometimes I don't remember if the stuff that happened was from this week or the other. I guess I'll give you the low down day by day.

On Lunes after an exciting P-Day, we hit it hard in the streets with our ward mission leader who was called yesterday, Senovio. Just for the record I've had ward mission council or whatever a grand total of 1 time in my whole mission, and I've had a ward mission leader for like 5 weeks but the good news is that a new bishop was called who's all excited about the work of the Lord and he is super young, he has like 26 years, so we don't have to worry about him falling into the grave tomorrow. Hopefully we'll get things in shape here.

On Martes I strolled over to Satelite for intercambios with Elder K, it was a pretty enjoyable day, this guy was super relaxed, and decided to tell me about every... thing that he's done in the mission, also he already has his wedding all planned out, the date of his wedding is for the 15th of May.

On Miercoles I headed back over to EspaƱita and reunited myself with elder Hernandez. I have to say Elder Hernandez is a great missionary, and we are getting along quite well, on Wednesday we decided to leave with brooms in our hands to help people sweep their streets. It wasn't very effective but the Lord blessed us to next day with a lot of success.

On Jueves we had our weekly planning, I dunno why but all the missionaries don't like to do weekly planning, but I do. After the we headed over to the club, we've started a club here with these 3 recent converts and a bunch of old dudes, it's pretty fun. Dad you could join if you wanted.

On Viernes well I don't really remember let me check. Hmm... well Viernes was a normal day

On Sabado it was a pretty normal day too, we headed out in the morning and found almost nothing, but later in the afternoon we were able to find a bunch of people that we had been looking for, including 2 new investigators who were at church this Sunday. Also it rained and I forgot my umbrella :(

On Domingo we headed over to the church. I always like going to church it's a nice oportunidad to relax and feel the Spirit. Also these new 2 people Eduardo and his mom Faviola came to church which was a surprise but awesome, and Jesus also came too, Fernando was going to come but he had to go to the doctor. Speaking of Jesus and Fernando, they are progressing super well and will be baptized the 8th or 15th of October, haza!

And this Lunes I got a fresh new line up.

Anyway, this week I've been thinking a lot about general conference, because it's in a week. We've been telling all the members and less actives and well everyone to come to general conference. I think a lot of members know that President Monson is the prophet of God but I think a lot of the time we forget the significance of his calling, and the 12 apostles. These men are called by God and speak with the Lord to receive revalacion that we need to hear now. When the proph

et and the apostles are speaking it's like the Lord is speaking, I hope everyone goes to the conference, because it's going to be great. Welp Have a great week

Also I've kind of forgotten to take pictures but here's a nice shot of San Luis

Have I done any good in the world today?

Hello my beloved brothers and sisters,
I guess I'll start out with today. Today was another exciting p-day. So this morning we decided to clean the apartment. I don't know what the deal is but every house I've visited that's occupied by missionaries is always disgusting. But this morning, er actually yesterday, we decided that that needs to change. The worst part was by far the kitchen. I dunno what happened but some other Elder was cooking up some stew or something and everything exploded er something like that, because since that first day I've been here, there's been this mystery orange sticky stuff on the walls, but not anymore heh heh,. Now the house is all fresh to def and I can breath again.
After that we did the laundry, by hand. That's right by hand, let me just say it took like 3 hours and my hands still feel like prunes. Ya, I'm pretty much roughin it, but now everything is all clean, I like living in a clean environment, after all cleanliness is next to Godliness.
Anywho, the rest of the week was pretty good, everything just flew by. On Saturday 16 de Septiembre was Independence day here in Mexico, which basically means another excuse to whip out the booz. Every booz buster always tries to talk to me in English, shameful. Nah but I felt pretty patriotic. I bought this mustache to wear to a fiesta that the church was throwing, but sadly our investigator bailed out on us last second. Luckily there's always next year. In other exciting news I also came down with a mystery sickness. On Tuesday I think we ate in the boonies, it was sketchy. The food was pretty good, but I'm not sure the living conditions were well livable. Plus it was all windy and she had a bunch of cats so my allergies kicked in. I had this mystery stomach/head ache and a soar throat/runny nose for like 3 days, but I was healthy enough to work, I feel blessed I haven't really gotten sick out here.
Anyways quick thought, I really like the song..." Have I done any good in the world today, have I helped anyone in need, have I cheered up the sad or made someone feel glad, if not I have failed in deed." I think a lot of the time we get caught up in ourselves. We are always looking for how we can help ourselves and often times forget to notice those around us. I would just invite y'all to wake up and do something more then dream of your mansion above. There's always someone that needs help and there's always something we can do. So wake up and do something more. "Doing good is a pleasure a joy beyond measure, a blessing of duty and love".
Welp have a fabulous week

Howdy

Howdy yall
Well once again we don't have any time...we were washing our clothes (in the boonies because we don't have a washing machine) and the washing machine broke. Also one of the Elders in our district had to go to Aguascalientes to pick up a new missionary and he forgot the keys to the house so we had to deliver them to their area.
We had cambios but nothing  changed, I'm thinking I'll be here till Christmas or the new year or something like that but who knows. But this was a pretty good week, our best investigators showed up to church, there is a family that we are teaching, Jesus, Fernando, and Dila, and I really enjoy teaching them every time we teach them the Spirit is super strong and it's awesome. I hope everyone is having a great week. Mom and Dad have a great week exploring Paris and what not. Oh ya, also I recieved a package and a bunch of letters this week, muchas gracias, I really apperciate it

Cambios Espaciales

Howdy y'all,
Well I guess I'll start with the exciting news first, I'm no longer in Zacatecas I am now in the great state of San Luis Potosi in Espanita 2, It's pretty weird. I've been here since Saturday and things are pretty good. I really like San Luis -everything is flat and it's more of how I imagined my mission. Also the people have been a lot more receptive. But we had emergancy transfers, so that's why I'm here, Elder Garcia was eating my cookies in the morning so I gave him the elbow....nah, just kidding. I have no idea why we had transfers but I heard that in Fresnillo they were having a lot of problems, because it's the most dangerous part of the mission. But who knows, it's kind of a bummer the 4 weeks that I had with Elder Garcia were easily the best 4 weeks of my mission, we were really clicking and our dynamic dou was just getting started.
Now I'm here with Elder Hernandez, he's from the city of Mexico, and has 8 months in the mission. He's a really hard worker which is awesome... it's the first time he's been in charge and is taking advantage of the situation. On the first day here we literally ran from house to house, literally.
On Saturday we had stake conference and on Sunday too, they talked a lot about the family and it was super great. Also presidente and his wife showed up, puro poder. They talked a lot about how the home is the best place to learn and teach the gospel, and it's true. Like the proclamation to the family says, the best and most ideal situation for families to have happiness and success is when there is a mom and a dad who live there and teach the gospel to their children. There are a lot of problems with that here in Mexico, a lot of broken families, but they said the the next place of support for those kids that don't have strong families is in the ward, and the families that are fortunate enough to have a strong family should be a support and example for those in need. I feel very blessed for the family that I have, my parents are almost perfect, my siblings too, and then there's me with all my problems, but that's ok that's why I'm here in Mexico. Nah, but I feel really lucky to be raised the way I was raised, and to have a knowledge of the gospel the oportunidad to share it with everyone. I hope everyone has a great week, I love and miss each of you

Also sorry for the boring letters recently I'll try to spice it up next week
